Alex Morrison is the head of the Senior Account Management team at Banc De Binary. Over the years he has rapidly become a familiar name among our traders, with people clamouring to join his online groups. When potential clients contact our customer service team asking to work with a specific account manager, we know we’re onto a good thing. So we had to learn more. What does it take to be a successful senior account manager? What makes Mr Morrison tick?

As far as what convinced him to become involved in the binary options industry, Morrison is unequivocal in his response. “It’s a great pleasure to be working for the only licensed and regulated binary options company on the face of the planet. The reason I was drawn to binary trading is that it’s simpler, quicker and less risky than other forms of trading, so you have an undeniable advantage.”

We asked if trading binary options has helped to improve his own success rate. “Yes, without a doubt. Okay, binary options are all about capitalising on market novelty. Combine this with the high return, short-term investments that we offer, and you have a goldmine. Traders can get in and out at just the right times whenever an economic event takes place.

“Now of course the market is always correcting itself, but binary options are the best fit vehicle for capitalising on that little 45 minute window when traders are stoked and the market is going crazy. Then when it inevitably corrects itself, and it will, we trade on the reversal. We make money on the event, and then go right back in and make some more money on the reversal.”

Here is a senior account manager who is clearly passionate about what he does. But what do his clients think of binary options? “As soon as a trader understands what’s going on, he’s unstoppable,” Morrison insists. “This is why the first thing I teach my clients is how to use RSI, MACD and Bollinger Bands, so they can follow the markets themselves or at least understand the signals I give out. Clients don’t have to know about economics before they start, but I do like to work with people who are enthusiastic and hungry to make money, people that are excited to trade and take pride in it.”

Morrison has many favourite trading assets and strategies but he’s still a currency trader at heart. He places the bulk on his trades on EUR/USD, GBP/USD, USD/JPY and AUD/CAD. Gold used to be a regular go-to but he says it’s not so dependable nowadays.

Finally, on what his experience has been as a senior account manager, he smiles and says “…it’s incredible but intense. You have to be prepared to hit retirement early, or be prepared for a heart attack, one of the two. Personally I’m shooting for an early retirement.”
