5 Tips for Making “Work from Home” More Fun

There’s nothing like working while wearing your PJ’s. And yet, when you work from home, it’s very important to get into “work mode” and not just sit in bed with your laptop. Here are a few tips to help you adjust to this awesome lifestyle - just don’t forget to change your clothes before you leave home.

Make a To Do List
To keep your day organized, start with a “to do list.” Actually, start with a cup of coffee. Then write a list with all of your assignments for the day. It would keep your tasks in order and you’d experience the joy of crossing finished assignments off the list.

Create an Organized Workspace
Sure, working from home is awesome and you get to wear your pajamas and avoid a daily grooming ritual. But it is very important to have a separate, defined space for where you work. If you don’t differentiate between your work environment and your home life, you’ll be at work ALL DAY (and night) LONG.

Work at a Coffee Shop
Changing the scenery is important from time to time. It might even inspire new and fresh ideas, making your productivity level even higher. Plus, somehow the coffee is always better when it’s made by a professional barista.

Have Lunch with a Friend
You’ve been working all morning, and will probably have to work for a few more hours. No doubt working from home, all alone, has its perks, but the best thing about lunchtime is usually the office gossip, and you’re missing out! You know what beats office lunch gossip? Lunch gossip with a friend. Make plans with a friend who works relatively close to where you live, or who works from home themselves, and have a nice meal together.

Take a 5 Minute Dancing Break
After a few hours of work, you feel tired and your thoughts start to drift. You probably still have tons of work to do, and you can’t take a break. This is the ideal time to put your favorite song on, turn it up and just dance! You’re bound to be a happy and more focused worker after this joyous break.

You’re welcome!
