Binary Options brokerage Banc De Binary reached an all important milestone this week in its ongoing growth as a company. The leading binary options broker announced that it has just opened its 200,000th client account, seen as confirmation that the company is now the biggest brokerage of binary options contracts in the world.
Banc De Binary offers high level investment services to retail clients in over 80 countries worldwide via its ground breaking online trading platform. The company was initially founded out of a small office in New York by four brokers who had become disillusioned with traditional investments at the time of the last crash. From these humble beginnings it has gone on to establishing global offices and currently employs over 250 brokerage staff. In 2012 Banc De Binary was inducted into the prestigious World Finance 100 list.

Established at the beginning of 2009, Banc De Binary was one of the very first companies to offer a streamlined version of over-the-counter binary options, after the global financial crisis left many investors in traditional financial instruments out of pocket.
Binary options differ from traditional investments in that traders only need to decide on whether a given asset will rise or fall in value within a predefined period of time. If the forecast is that the asset in question, say gold, will rise, then a Call option is purchased, if on the other hand the trader is predicting a drop in value, then a Put option is purchased. This approach makes binary trading simpler, faster and not as risky as other types of investments that involve pip spreads, stop losses and leverage.
