Market Schedule

Written by: Sophie May

The financial world moves quickly and the markets never stop. A key advantage of binary options is that you can take advantage of these global trends 24/7 and trade whenever it suits you.

From Sydney to New York

The Forex market is the world’s only 24- hour trading market. Trading binary options gives you access to this market, alongside the trading of stocks, indices and commodities.
The trading of currencies begins each day with the opening of Sydney’s market in Australia at 22:00 GMT and ends with the closing of New York’s market at the same as the market reopens in Sydney. The key Forex markets, in order of their opening times, are Sydney, Tokyo, Frankfurt, London and New York. In weekly terms, this means that the market is open from Sunday at 22:00 GMT and runs continuously until Friday 22:00 GMT.

Weekend One Touch

Traditionally, trading stops at the weekend when the markets close. When you trade binary options, this is the perfect time to evaluate the past week and analyze the financial outlook for the week ahead. You can places trades on the One Touch platform when the markets are closed, and then see during the week whether your predictions are correct.
Should you estimate correctly that the value of an asset will have reached a predetermined price level at 17:00 on any day during the trading week, you can win up to 500% profit. The trader has 5 chances to finish in the money, but if the set value is not reached by Friday, the system declares a loss

Public Holidays

Please be advised that during the major public holidays, markets may be closed, open for limited hours, or subject to increased liquidity issues. Check with your broker in advance of public holidays as to whether it will affect trading on the platform you use.
